“The music of the duo is characterized by the distinctive language and expressiveness of each one of them. It‘s an exciting even magical mix of European jazz with classical music spiced up by traditional Greek flavors. The folk parts are quite strong. In the opening “Dual nature“, immersion and dance passages alternate with human joy and the heaviness of existence. Both of the protagonists play with the theme, throw it in the in air and push it to the ground.”

“The album opener, the title track itself, is a really effective intro because it immediately sets a tone for the entire record, allowing the audience to familiarize themselves with Tabakis’ concept. The song “Interface” is one of the highlights on the LP. The arrangement is strong, and the performance of these musicians is just as powerful, perfectly supporting the compositional merits of the music. “Dawn Day Dusk” is another fantastic track, which acts as a wonderful compendium of all the skills, artistry, and songwriting mastery that went into the making of this release.”

Tabakis – Greek guitarist and composer born in 1980, based in Athens. The two solo pieces, respectively “Dawn Day Dusk” for guitar then “Moon Elegy” for bass clarinet, compose two fascinating meditations. “Spotlight”, the concluding piece, begins in creative minimalism and evolves by incorporating reminiscences of Greek folklore. Sophisticated and obvious, timeless and innovative, it could be the duality that is expressed in the music resulting from this absolutely splendid European collaboration”
